Katrina Gallafent
IBCLC
Katrina is an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). She received her bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College, then worked for a maternal-child health non-profit for several years before becoming a stay-at-home-mom. She spent many years pregnant, breastfeeding, and chasing toddlers. She truly understands the struggles and satisfaction that come through parenting! Once her 5 children all started school, she began her studies to become a lactation consultant through the University of California San Diego Extended Studies program. She loves working with families to help them reach their feeding goals and providing support during the critical postpartum period. Katrina has training in tongue tie, supplementation, induced lactation, and craniosacral therapy. She is an advocate for babies and mothers and is always ready to laugh or cry with new parents. She believes that breastfeeding is natural and beautiful, but it isn’t always easy, especially at the beginning. She offers lactation support in a non-judgmental way and always wants parents to feel empowered as they make decisions for their families.
Outside of work, Katrina loves to cook, bake, read, attend her kids’ music and athletic events, and spend time with her husband, James. She grew up in McCall and still loves to spend as much time there as possible.
