Marilee Walker

Marilee has 40 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist and holds a Specialty Certification in Low Vision through the American Occupational Therapy Association. She has worked with geriatrics throughout her career and spent ten years with Dr. Ronald Cole at Medical Vision Technology in Sacramento. There, she developed a unique guide card method to teach patients effective eccentric viewing for tasks like reading, writing, and homemaking. Marilee has spoken at numerous conferences including the Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Geriatric Society, and Envision conferences. She has also taught physicians in Shanghai and presented at the International Congress of Ophthalmology and Optometry in Nanjing, China. A former board member of the SAFE Foundation, Marilee enjoys photography, trip planning, and time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
